What is Structured Literacy?

Structured Literacy is a research-based approach to reading intervention. Many educators and parents are more familiar with the term Orton-Gillingham, a reading intervention program first designed in the 1930s. The Orton-Gillingham approach to reading intervention focuses on individual student strengths and deficits. My approach to reading remediation is similar to the Orton-Gillingham approach. Each lesson is specifically tailored to the needs of your child, with lesson adjustments made based on your child's response to the intervention.

Below you will find links providing additional information on the Structured Literacy approach to reading intervention.
